Its the wifes birthday today and so I thought that I would post up something.
We've been married now for the best part of ten years and known each other over ten years. We have two wonderful bairns, who are growing up way to fast, along with two cats, 5 fish and of course, the horse. All in all, I can't think of a way to improve my life at all, except maybe persuade the wife to eat pasta and rice, but that another story!
From the moment I met my wife, I knew it was different from previous relationships, why or how I couldn't have told you, still can't, but it was. During our time together we've had our highs and lows, as any couple might well know, and we don't agree on everything, like the military, but through it all we've always stuck together and supported each other and have, I believe, come out stronger the other side.
Life would not be quite the same without her and I can't imagine life without her or what life would have been like if I we had not struggled through some of the early years. I'm sure there will be many more arguments and disagreements over the next 50 or more years, but I have no doubt there will be many, many more highs and I look forward to every one of them!
So, I would like to say happy birthday to my wonderful wife, and I look forward to sharing many more with you!

Burra bears
Well, a little while ago, a colleague of my wife's left and as is the custom at these sort of event , a gift was sought. No, I've know about these bears for a while, anyone who's up this way would be hard pressed no to know about Burra Bears.
Three in the bed and the little one said......
These guys are great, although they are quite pricey. Its one of those things that I've always thought would be nice to own, but its also not something that you jut buy, well at least not in my eyes anyway. To me, its more of a special something you get given or that you give, not something that you just go out and buy because you fancy it.
A close up
Anyway, there's some more info here if your interested.

R.E.D
Ok, so the posting schedule that I had inside my head didn't quite work out as intended. In fact I have barely had time to sit down and write anything here at all over the last few weeks. I will hopefully have a little bit of time soon, where i will be able to sit down for a bit and write a few posts nut in the mean time, here is something amusing that I saw a few weeks back
I was out with the family the other week, when I came across a sign, well, when I say a I saw a sign, it was actually my wife who saw the sign. If you cant guess we were out at a old steam railway, down in the south lakes.
I would say that its quite right, definitely very true!

Play room
In the last post, I mentioned that I had taken over one of the rooms as my work room and the kids had taken over the front room. Now, this isn't the playroom that's been taken over, it's the spare bedroom or guest room. So why aren't the kids using the playroom? Well, here's why!
The over view
The toy free path
Now, this is actually fairly tidy! It can be a challenger to see any of the floor at times, although it can be better at times. The room doesn't have any real storage space, mostly just trying to shoehorn boxes in to shelves built for clothes. The new playroom, when it's built, will have lots and lots of storage!
As for when it's built, well, that's another question!
